Know Before You Go...

We are unable to run paddles if water levels are higher than 20 ft.

Green and Nolin Rivers are Class 1 rivers with no rapids. Water conditions may change quickly. The river will have a faster current when water levels are higher in the spring or after substantial rainfall.  Current river levels can be accessed via the button below:

Helpful Information

  • Please be aware that Paddling is a physical activity and this is a rustic outdoor experience.  The entry and exit points are not beaches and are not level with the river.  There are stairs that must be used both entering and exiting the river.  You will be required to assist in moving your equipment to the river and by yourself exiting the river.  On an average summer day current is slow and you will have to paddle to move along.  Please consider if this activity is more than you are looking for or more than you are capable of prior to booking.  We want everyone possible to be able to experience the serenity and beauty of the Green River and in certain circumstances arrangements can be attempted to accommodate physical limitations, but no guarantees are made neither expressly or implied of your actual experience.
  • PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices) are required to be worn at all time while on the water by all passengers all ages.
  • No Fireworks, slingshots, bows or air rifles are permitted on any trip within National Park limits!
  • All riders must sign a waiver prior to beginning their trip. Parents will be required to sign on behalf of children under 18.
  • NO ALCOHOL ON THE RIVER AND ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN ALCOHOL IN VEHICLES!
  • Lookout for obstacles, especially submerged hazards and sand bars.
  • Wear sunscreen and/or insect repellant (we have it if you forget) and a hat to protect from sun. Use a cord for glasses
  • Use a dry sac or dry pouch to protect keys, ids, etc. (we rent both) (cameras and other valuables are taken at your own discretion and risk)
  • Bring water and a snack or lunch.
  • No Glass containers
  • Wear comfortable shoes that can get wet, dirty and are not slippery.  Flip flops are NOT recommended.
  • The river gets cool at night even on a hot day so you should be prepared when overnighting or going out late in the day.
  • All riders must comply with Mammoth Cave National Park rule and regulations

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

You may cancel up to 48 hours before your paddle and be refunded in full.  Cancellations any time sooner that 48 hours prior to your paddle time (for any reason) and no shows are non-refundable. However we are happy to hold over you reservation for future use (for the value purchased). They are also transferable. Weather related cancellations must be done within the acceptable cancellation period. Please watch the forecast in the days before and make your decision within the acceptable cancellation period in order to receive a refund. Same day cancellations due to weather are non-refundable. We run in the rain but will not run a paddle if there is lightning at your appointment time, if the river reaches 20' (or a level which we deem too dangerous for your skill level) or an order from the Rangers. If your reservation is canceled due to one of those issues, those are beyond our control and 50% refund will be issued or you can keep the reservation open for future use and is also transferable. They may also be split and used in portions if it was a reservation for multiple vessels.
